SUMMARY:March Homeschool Fiber Classes (week 1)
DESCRIPTION:TerBest Farms is teaching classes that will take you back to your roots of homesteading and fiber art from your heritage. Come and learn the art of making clothes from start to finish or get started on all those fun fiber crafts you’ve always wanted to learn.  There will be classes for beginners to advanced\, so great for all ages\, boys and girls. These classes will include drop spindle\, crocheting\, knitting\, hand spinning and fiber start to finish. Theses classes will be a great addition to any homeschool family who wants to learn life skills and more. Sign up for all day classes or just pick the one or two classes your interested in. If you’re taking all classes please arrive at 9:30 so you have time to get your kits for every class\, if your only taking one or two classes please arrive 15 minutes early. Please bring lunch\, snacks and drinks for the lunch break. For Knitting and Crocheting classes please bring your own needles and yarn to help keep the cost low for your family (lots at thrift stores). \nWeek 1 \nClass 1 10:00-11:00 Drop Spindle understanding the drop spindle and part and draft method. or \n                                   Beginning Knitting (Bring size 4 circular needles for knitting) Casting on and knit stich \nClass 2 11:00:-12:00 Beginning Spinning Understanding the spinning wheel and drafting fiber onto the wheel  or  \n                                    Beginning Crocheting /Afghan Squares ( Bring Crocheting Hook H\, I\, or K) Chain stich slip stitch\, single crochet\,                                          rib stitch \n12:00-12:30 Lunch Break \nClass 3 12:30-1:30 Crocheting Project or Knitting Project (bring size 4 circular needles for knitting) (Crocheting Hook H\, I\, or K) \nClass 4 1:30-2:30 Spinning Wheel Understanding the spinning wheel and drafting fiber onto the wheel or \n                               Drop Spindle understanding the drop spindle and part and draft method. \nClass 5 2:30-3:30 Fiber Start to Finish -Understanding alpaca fiber and how to clean\, prep\, wash and spin(If you’re taking this class do not sign up for the spinning class because this skill will be taught during this 4 week course) \nClasses will be $15 each and some classes will have a fiber kit  that needs to be purchased separately.
